Celebrating World Food Day!

October 16, 2018

This month, World Food Day looks to celebrate some of the most delicious and unique dishes from all over the world.

This very special day takes place on October 16th 2018 and now seems like the perfect time to showcase some of our most beloved appetisers and main courses. So, if you haven’t dined with us before or if you’re looking for something different to enjoy on your next visit, take a look below for some of our best Thai choices.

Thai Green Chicken Curry (Kaeng Khiao Wan Gai)

Thailand’s famous green curry is called kaeng khiao wan in its native Thai, which translates as ‘sweet green curry’. Interestingly, the word ‘sweet’ (wan) refers to the shade of green rather than the flavour.

Our authentic curry is made with fresh green chillies and Thai herbs, and served in coconut milk with fine beans, bamboo shoots and aubergine, garnished with sweet basil and chillies. The chicken breast is perfectly tender, but be warned: this dish is a spicy one!

Chicken Satay (Gai Satay)

Satay is a classic dish of skewered meat served with sauce. There are many different varieties available as any meat can be used, including goat, mutton and even fish. As this tasty meat dish can be tailored to suit any and all tastes, it’s not surprising that it reached #14 in CNN’s 2011 World’s 50 most delicious foods poll.

Our classic Thai appetiser strips of marinated chicken are char-grilled and served with homemade peanut sauce.

Thai Fish Cakes (Tod Mun Pla)

If you’re a fan of seafood but are tired of the same old flavours then Thai fish cakes are an absolute must-try appetiser. These tasty treats combine that classic oceanic taste with all the exotic spice and flavour that makes Thai food so internationally popular.

These spicy Thai style fish cakes are blended with our special recipe of red curry paste, green beans and kaffir lime leaves, and served with homemade sweet chilli sauce and peanut vegetable relish.
